and then she stopped eating. she refused offers that were made to her that involved food. she skipped meals everyday, and stuck to water. she was getting weaker and even more skinnier. she was proud, no matter how sick she was making herself.

that moment where someone goes “what are you, anorexic?!” and you just sit there without saying anything because it’s true.

She sat down on the grass and lay there staring up at the dark, cloudy sky. The sounds of laughter from other kids around her slowly faded into silence. She laid her arms out and slow realization seeped into her body, cold as ice. She was alone. Whether in a crowded room, or just by herself, she is and will always be alone. She sat up, and stared at everyone as they stared at her. She’s not wanted here or anywhere, so she gets up and leaves forever.
